Mediation

Mark is accredited as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner by the Federal Attorney General’s Department and can therefore provide compulsory Family Dispute Resolution and issue s60I Certificates under the Family Law Act. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM), and of LEADR.

In addition, he is uniquely qualified to mediate in other civil disputes: as well as being an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and an FDRP, he spent the first decade of his career as a commercial lawyer practising in the Sydney CBD, both as a partner of Solomon Garland Partners and as a Director of national law firm Gadens Lawyers. He is a member of the NSW District Court Mediators Panel and of the NSW Law Society’s Mediator Panel.

He holds the following accreditations and memberships relevant to the provision of mediation services:

  • Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (‘FDRP’) by the Federal Attorney General’s Department
  • Accreditation as a Mediator under the National Mediator Accreditation System
  • Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution from the Australian Institute of Social Relations
  • Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology from Charles Sturt University (the academic prerequisite for registration as a psychologist)
  • Member of the NSW District Court Mediators Panel
  • Member of the Law Society of NSW’s Mediator Panel
  • Member of the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM)
  • Practitioner member of LEADR

Mark is happy to conduct mediations anywhere in the Sydney metropolitan and Central West areas.
